Margaret O'sullivan (July 2010) reports that the death is registered in the first quarter 1841 ref, 6.4 in Newport Pagnell. Presumably in childbirth with the child whose birth was registered the following quarter..

I quote him "William joined the British Army in 1841 (70th regiment of Foot) and, as far as I know, didn’t return to Stoke Bruerne. He was stationed in India from 1849 to 1861 where he married. The regiment then moved to New Zealand where he left the army in 1866, having become Quartermaster Sergeant. He also adds "He died on 11 May 1876 in Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand. He married Catherine "Catherine Fitzgerald" BATCHELOR, daughter of James BATCHELOR, on 05 Dec 1853 in Cawnpore, India. She was born in 1834. She died on 07 Sep 1908 in Waitara, Taranaki, New Zealand.
