CENSUS 1851 of Roade, enumerator 2, folio 248, page 16, schedule no.66. Age 76, an annuitant. Listed as mother of Thomas Jones, but presumably of his wife. If this assumption is wrong the his wif's maiden name is wrong and the family structure is wrong.

DEATH from grave stone (see book no. 76), aged 81. The year is unreadable on the stone, but the date matches with this burial. The stone also mentions her daughter Elizabeth aged 15 who died 5 Oct 18**, I cannot identify this Elizabeth.

NOTE all other information from Rita Poxon (email Jan 2009) he was a yeoman, son of William George (1756-1807) and Mary Payne(1750-1814). He was 83 when he died. He was later married to Elizabeth Amos (20 Nov 1796-bef 1861) (widow of Thomas Cockerill).
