NOTE in 1835 when his father died his will named Charles as his son and heir. he was listed as of Fakenham, Norfolk and an excise man. Three years later in Indenture and Mortgage (ref. ZA 3899) he mortgages the land and cottages to Thomas Hawkes of Northampton, gentelman, for 100 years at 5% interest. This last agreement was redeemed in June 1878. There is a Charles Blunt of Ashton in 1870, assume this one above, receiving £150 mortgage from Richard Hawes in 1870 Ref ZA 3900 for the same number and type of property in Ashton described in his fathers will/settlements. In the 1881 Census William H Blunt in Clayton Heights, Clayton, Yorks is given as born in Todmorton, Yorks. and is a book keeper, brewing. He has wife Martha ans daughter Charlotte and son Charles F. (good Blunt family names!)
