DEATH: from daughter's marriage record he is listed as "late seaman (R.N.)", so he was a navy man.

CENSUS 1891 at 82 Millerbank Street, Springburn, Glasgow, aged 25, a cartwright. Birthplace given as Glasgow.

CENSUS 1901 at 4 Kirk Rd, Cabusnethan, Lanark, Scotlands People reference 628/00 012/00 page 47, sched. 216, aged 35 a wagon builder.

NOTE in 1915 he is listed as a journeyman railway waggopn builder at the marriage of his daughter.

He seemed to have been living here before he was married and continued after his marriage. He was known as Bob. He was listed as a steelworker at his marriage.

NOTE in Aug 1915 she was witness to the marriage of her sister Grace.

MARRIAGE certificate says she was a domestic servant (housekeeper), a spinster. Her address is 7 Mitchell St. Rutherglen, the same as her husband. Perhaps she had been his housekeeper before they married.
